Text Carved in Bark

For the text carved in bark tutorial, I used the lower pictures of bark and wood grain to achieve the desired effect along with some layer style effects

Friend Collage Project

Here is my friend collage project. I decided to use principles from the retro poster tutorial to complete this. I used the two paper textures to create a background along with some rendered clouds. Then I proceeded to select the portions of each picture I wanted using the selection tools and pixel masks. After I had all of them arranged, I changed to blending mode to multiply for half of them and vivid light for the other half. Then, I used an intricate series of layer masks to make sure each picture was directly over the background rather than the other pictures. This gave each picture the worn paper effect. Last, I filled in the blank spots with some patterns and added a caption :)

Guitar Design

 

I used a blue guitar to complete this tutorial, as well as the silhouette of myself from the iPod picture.

Movie Poster

For the powerball tutorial, I decided to use Orlando Bloom and stick him on a fantasy-ish background with a ball of energy shooting out of his hand. Should be a pretty good movie... :D
I also used a gradient layer over a rendered cloud layer to give the sky a more ominous look, and I used a second gradient layer to reflect some of the sky's color onto Orlando.

Vintage Polaroids

I used the vintage polaroid tutorial to create these pictures. Instead of just using one picture, I went ahead and used three, though.

Retro Poster

 I used the retro poster tutorial to create the top image out of the source images below it. This tutorial turned out really cool!
